Nathan Tardiff is the newest Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at CUNY Brooklyn College!! Nathan has been an invaluable pillar of our research team—generously supporting a multitude of his lab-mates over the years, all while still driving his own vital research forward. His energy and insights will be deeply missed around here, but we could not be more proud to see him take this next major step in his career.

World, meet Dr. Mrugank Dake.

We’re beyond excited to announce that Mrugank Dake has successfully defended his thesis to complete his PhD!! An incredibly talented and hard-working young scholar – we have no doubt Mrugank will continue to produce great science!

No rest for the wicked as he will his new position as a post-doctoral researcher under John Murray at Dartmouth College in June!

Zoe Duan (PhD candidate in the lab) has been awarded the Coons Summer travel award! She's on fire!

Mrugank Dake and Zoe Duan both accepted at UChicago’s MBL

Mrugank Dake and Zoe Duan (PhD candidates in the lab) have both been accepted as Summer Fellows at the University of Chicago's Marine Biological Labs! They’ll be working in the department of Computational Neuroscience this July and August. A great opportunity and new challenge for them – amazing and congrats!

Zoe Duan awarded GSAS Predoctoral Summer Fellowship

Zoe Duan (PhD candidate in the lab) has been awarded with a GSAS (Graduate School of Arts and Science) Predoctoral Summer Fellowship! The grant will help fund her excellent work through the summer of 2026. Not easy to get – congrats to her!

Mrugank Dake accepted as postdoc at Darmouth!!

Mrugank Dake (PhD candidate in the lab) has accepted a position as a post-doctoral researcher at Darmouth College!! Following his thesis defense in a few weeks, he’ll be starting off his work under John Murray. Could not be more proud of such an incredible graduate student. Hats off to him!

Introducing Dr. Sarah Master !!

New doc on the block!

We’re thrilled to announce that Sarah Master has successfully completed her thesis defense, completing her doctorate program!! We couldn’t be more proud of everything she has accomplished and the brilliant scientist she has become!

Next up for her is a position as a post-doctoral researcher under Nico Schuck and Sebastian Musslick in Hamburg and Osnabruck, Germany!
